The signal is better than some cell phone. I compare it with Nokia E71 cellphone. It can get 2 more satellites than Nokia phone. But the software does not fully work on Windows 7. I don't know if it works well on windows xp. -- Software does not fully work
It lacks a little position accuracy but it's within the limits of what is needed to photo GPS tagging and sports tracking, however it may cause some trouble if used as a navigation device (together with another Bluetooth enabled device). Startup time depends on how much sky obstruction you have and if you are moving round too much, but once locked it didn't lost track so far (except when going into tunnels and such, of course). However there's an option to download A-GPS data to the device which will help it lock on the satellites much faster. Not sure how much faster or how much memory it needs, but I'd say it's worth it. As far as size goes, it's a little bigger than a usual keychain but still perfectly usable as one. It comes with bundled software for sports session management and photo tagging.
Overall I'd recommend it for photo tagging and sports tracking but wouldn't buy it with the main purpose of navigation. -- Great for sports, good for photo cachin and navigation
