The original suction cup broke, the plastic which is molded to the metal tore right off about about 18mos of usage. This is a replacement and seems sturdy. It's a bit stiff, which is nice, as it has a nice tight grip on the glass. Came with an alcohol wipe to ensure a clean window. -- Replacement for the original - hope this one holds up
